Challenge

The old kitchen had dark cherry cabinets and an outdated layout that felt cramped and closed off from the rest of the home. The cherry finish and dated appliances made the space feel heavy and disconnected from contemporary design. Storage was limited, and the workflow between prep, cooking, and cleanup zones was inefficient.

Solution

HCC installed new cream-colored cabinetry throughout, completely opening up the kitchen's feel. We added a large island with room for seating and prep work, replaced the backsplash with subway tile, installed new stainless steel appliances including a gas range, and added pendant and recessed lighting for better illumination. The layout now creates a clear workflow and connects the kitchen to the adjacent dining and outdoor areas through large glass doors.
