Challenge
The original kitchen had heavy dark wood cabinets, dated finishes, and limited sightlines to adjacent spaces. The layout felt cramped and isolated from the rest of the home. Homeowners wanted a kitchen that felt connected, modern, and more functional for daily use and entertaining.
Solution
HCC removed the old cabinet layout and installed new painted cabinetry in a light finish with shaker-style doors and black hardware. We installed white subway tile backsplash, quartz countertops, and replaced appliances with stainless steel units. A new island with overhang seating was added, along with recessed and pendant lighting. Walls were opened where possible to improve sightlines to the dining and outdoor spaces.
