Challenge
The original deck had visible rot, weathered wood, and uneven surfaces that made it unsafe and uninviting. The exterior stairs leading to the backyard were built with untreated lumber showing age and deterioration, making them both an eyesore and a safety concern. The layout was cramped and didn't provide efficient access to the rear yard space.
Solution
We removed the old deck and framing completely and built a new deck with composite decking that runs the length of the exterior. We reconstructed the staircase with pressure-treated lumber framing, installed new composite tread boards with clean lines, and added white trim work to the risers for a finished look. The stairs now have proper spacing and solid structural support throughout.
