Wharton kitchen and laundry room renovation

Challenge

The kitchen had minimal cabinet storage and an awkward layout that made meal prep inefficient. The laundry room lacked organized space, and both areas felt cramped. The homeowner wanted dedicated storage for linens and everyday items without sacrificing functionality. The wall between rooms had dead space that could be better used.

Solution

We installed new white cabinetry throughout the kitchen with shaker-style doors and black hardware. Upper cabinets and lower base units provide ample dry and cooking storage. We replaced the countertops with stone and added recessed lighting to brighten the workspace. In the laundry room, we built a custom wall-mounted cabinet system with open shelving and closed storage, plus a built-in closet with vertical dividers for organized linen and towel storage. A semi-frosted sliding barn door set provides visual interest while hiding clutter.
