The family room had an old fireplace that wasn't working well and poor traffic flow between the living area and kitchen. The space felt disconnected, with outdated finishes and inadequate lighting. The homeowners wanted a bright, modern living space that could handle family gatherings while maintaining a clean, cohesive look.
Solution
We rebuilt the fireplace with a herringbone tile surround and new white framing. New recessed lighting was installed throughout the ceiling for better brightness. The room was reconfigured to improve sightlines from the kitchen into the living area. We installed new hardwood flooring, added custom floating shelving for display, and painted the walls and trim for a fresh, clean appearance.
