A dated family room needed a complete interior refresh to create a modern, functional entertainment space. We renovated the room with new flooring, fireplace surround, lighting, and built-in storage to open up the layout and improve flow between the living area and kitchen.

Challenge
The original space felt cramped and disconnected, with an outdated fireplace that didn't match the rest of the home. The room lacked proper lighting and storage, making it difficult to use as a comfortable gathering space. The fireplace surround and overall finishes looked worn, and the layout didn't work well for a family that wanted a seamless connection to the adjacent kitchen.
Solution
We installed new recessed lighting throughout the ceiling for even illumination and updated the fireplace with a herringbone tile surround and clean white trim. New hardwood flooring was laid across the main living area, and we built custom floating shelving and storage solutions along the walls. The layout was opened up to improve sightlines to the kitchen, and all finishes were coordinated with neutral tones and natural wood accents for a cohesive look.
