This Edison homeowner had an unfinished basement sitting unused. We built out a multi-zone recreation space with a game room, bar area, workspace, and arcade alcove—all with custom lighting and paint.

Challenge
The basement was raw and divided awkwardly, with no clear purpose or finished surfaces. The homeowner wanted separate zones for gaming, working, entertaining, and casual play, but the space lacked defined areas, proper lighting, and professional finishes. Open studs and poor layout made it feel cramped and unusable.
Solution
We framed and finished multiple zones: a pool table area with a black TV wall and custom lighting, a bar counter with wood top and storage below, shelving with dark wood shelves for display, and a dedicated neon-lit gaming alcove. New drywall was installed and painted in distinct colors—teal, navy, red, and light gray—to define each zone. We added recessed and linear LED lighting throughout, new flooring, and electrical outlets on all walls. Custom white cabinetry houses storage and game equipment.
